Electric vehicle uses majorly Lithium-ion battery as a source of energy. This type of battery is rechargeable and can be used for several times. We can see Lithium-ion battery in our smartphones, laptop, electric vehicles, etc.
On 2nd July 2021, OLA announced on its upcoming electric scooter. Bhavish Aggarwal Ola's CEO announced the launch date of its upcoming new electric scooter. The price of Ola's Electric scooter in India would be Around 1lakh to 1.2 lakh Rupees.
Bhavish Aggarwal said that the company will launch its electric scooter in Indian market on 75th independence day,15 August 2021. Ola is launching its Scooter in two range which is Ola S1 and Ola S1 pro.
The Ola S1 having the top speed of 100 Km/h, where the Ola S1 pro is having speed of 110-120 Km/h. In one charge Ola Scooter can travel up to 80 to 240 Km in one go, The power provided by its motor is range from 2KW to 4KW, where it takes 36 min for full charge. The scooter is propelled by BLDC motor having motor power of 2KW/4KW. In term of design it is having Sleek profile, and ergonomic seating.
Ola is also working on the world's largest and most futuristic Electric Two-Wheeler factory in Tamil Nadu, India. The factory having the land area of 500 acres with 10 production lines and having the capacity to produce 10 million scooters a year. This factory will be the world's largest two- wheeler factory.
